Common questions
Individual Return FAQs
Which pricing level applies to my return?
Your level depends on the income forms, schedules, credits, states, and records involved. We review your documents and confirm the scope before work begins.
Is Community Pricing available to everyone?
No. The $0 option is income-based and limited to simple filing situations. Eligibility must be confirmed before preparation begins.
Can you prepare self-employment, rental, or investment returns?
Yes. Those items generally fall under Premium / Complex pricing and may require additional fees depending on record volume and complexity.
Can I pay preparation fees from my refund?
A “Pay with Refund” option may be available for qualifying e-filed returns. Bank, processing, and transmission fees are separate from preparation fees and are disclosed before filing.
